Hometown – I was born and raised in Southern Indiana. I earned a degree in Education from Western Kentucky University in 1960, but my first love was always art.
Art History – After moving to Birmingham in the 1970’s, I became a longtime active member of the Vestavia Hills Art Association, painting alongside such notables as Don Rankin, Donny Finley, Mary Lou Cost, Anetta Nichols, Mildred Wyatt and many others. Was honored to be elected President of VHAA for the 1978/1979 term.
Style – Having painted with, and being instructed by many fine artists, I still consider myself an experimental artist working in oils, acrylics, and mixed media to create art that catches the eye and brightens the day.
Inspiration – Am inspired to paint by my many travel adventures and exposure to new places and people.
